Club facilities and admission details

The club will be closed on Wednesday the 28th so don’t book any games for then! Business will resume on the 4th of January.

Okay so the move went ahead without too many hitches, a couple of things to cover:

• Mainsite registrations are closed until the new site launches, not a big deal since nobody aside from me updated it anyway!
• The current Forums are are going to be kept, with a little rejig and a trimming down
• The Gallery is hooge! I will be needing to trim it down a little since the backup time on it is mahoosive. In short what I want to do is archive the lot elsewhere and just keep a good representative mixture locally to brighten up the mainsite.
• The New logo is being finalised. Hopefully the new font won’t make anyones eyes explode!

Well, its a month late but its finally happening, the server move will happen shortly. The website update is on hold for now, but will be phased in over the next couple of months all being well.

There shouldn’t be any major upheaval, the forums will go into maintence mode for a while while I prepare the move.

I’ve been maintaining this website for nearly two years now, and I have been extremely happy with it, however while doing other work on other sites i’ve learned so much more and feel its time for a change.

One of the reasons I haven’t changed over to the new logo is that I have been debating what to do with the website as a whole and after a quick chat at the club, this is what is going to happen.

Im opening a new version of the site,with the new logo in a few weeks time.

Im not going to pin it down to a definite date, since I have a another website in development at the moment which may well delay this project and sadly paid work has to come first.

The new site will be similar in form to this one but with better mainsite integration (i.e shared user accounts etc) and a greater focus on the forum since that is by far the most used part of the site.

The gallery although large hasn’t been used in a good while, so im considering moving it off site to another dedicated gallery site, which I will choose later on depending on the size of the gallery.

Depending on the forum software I choose it should be possible to import all your old accounts and posts so i’ll be doing a little pruning on the forum in preparation.

This is all in aim to get the site moved to the new server as soon as possible. Reliability should improve since it will only be sharing with the legionary site, so no massive fails if one of the other sites falls over.

I’ll post again before I take the site into maintenece mode for transferance, and I hope to complete the transfer entirely before the 5th of june.

Cost: £20 for NAF members, £25 for none NAF, Due to our free venue closing we are having to incress the entry by £5 to cover hiring a new venue. If we get a cheep or free venue the price will come down by £5. Anyone who has paid the higher amount wil be refunded.

Rules:
As before 1.15million.
LRB6 (comp rules, whatever you want to call it)
The 3 new teams can be used.
Skill advancement will be changing this year. Before game 1 you can give one of the following combinations
3 doubles
2 doubles and 2 normal
1 double and 4 normal
6 normal
and agian before game 4
It’s the same skill set as other years of 1 double or 2 normal after each game but now with an added twist.

Stunty teams can take a master chief.
Stunty teams can have 2 star players
All other teams can have 1
All other inducments are ok (bribes etc)

Prizes:

1st pro painted team, race of your choice

Entertainment: Due to the RAF trying to post me to Lyneham near Swindon in April it’s looking like there will be no BBQ this year  .
The venue we have at the moment does very good food and is in the center of Newquay and open till 1am.
More on this will be announced later.

Okay ladies and gents, welcome to the new improved mk3 website!

Only joking Basically the server failed by time, and athough I had backups, some of these ran into issues. So here it is!

You may find your old user account on the main site no longer works, unfortnately it looks unlikely i’ll be able to restore these. Please re-sign up.
